The Andorra Walking Festival 2020 will last for 6 days, from September the 7th to the 12th 2020. The AWF 2020 is divided in two main concepts: hiking in the morning and first part of the afternoon, and complementary activities (Romanic art, museums, local gastronomy and tastings, conferences, etc.) in the late afternoon and evening. The excursions will be held in the following languages: Catalan, Spanish, French and English. Despite the website will be translated into German, we cannot guarantee excursions in this language. All the participants will be covered by an accident insurance.
Registration to the AWF includes 4 hiking routes
Daily excursion with a qualified mountain guide. One guide for every 15 hikers (whenever it’s possible).
Every needed transfer from Soldeu village. Transfers to the excursions starting point and from the finishing point. Also, the necessary transfers to carry out the corresponding complementary activities (cultural visits, etc.).
Daily packed lunch. Its composition will be published one month prior to the event. In the case of participants with food intolerances, they should notify it to the organization at the time of registration.
Welcome pack, with technical commemorative t-shirt, and promotional products. At the time of registration, every participant should inform about their size.
All the complementary activities (museums, churches, food and beverages tasting, conferences, etc.).
Closing party, with barbecue and live music.

Located in the centre of Soldeu.

Itinerary of the 6 hiking routes, choose 4 hiking routes
Vall d’Incles. Monday, September 7. Of glacier origin, spaciousness, aesthetic and beauty. Surrounding the valley, we will find 10 ponds, 3 mountain refuges different summits, making this area an ideal place for hiking at any level.
Vall del Riu. Tuesday, September 8. This valley is a great unknown in the country, due to the fact that its access is exclusively on foot. Of glacier origin, like almost all of the andorran valleys, it will offer us spectacular views along the way and we will enjoy a great biological diversity.
Vall de Sorteny. Wednesday, September 9. In this outing, our guides will help you to discover the plants traditional use (750 kinds of plants), the shepherding life in the high mountain, as well as the influence of human beings in nature. They will basically help us to interpret the so well preserved landscape that the park offers.
Pic del Casamanya. Thursday, September 10. Today, the AWF will be going over the geographic centre of the country. The coll d’Ordino road has been traditionally used to connect both Andorra’s two main valleys, the “Valira del Nord” and the “Valira d' Orient”.
La Vall del Madriu. Friday, September 11. The valley, of clearly glacier origin, gathers many of the stages we can find at the Pyrenees, starting by the mountain stage at 1000m, ending up in the alpine stages at the Portella summit, 2905 m, and also mountain stages like the Blau or the Nou at Perafita.
Circ de Pessons. Saturday, September 12. Pessons cirque is a must see when hiking in the Andorran mountains. It's the biggest granite glacier cirque of the Principality, and one of the biggest in the Pyrenees. Seven summits between 2.500 and 2.800 metres height form a mountain semi-circle. Inside it, we find 20 ponds.
